  • 170 g dark chocolate, 70%+, chopped
  • 115 g unsalted butter
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp instant espresso powder
  • 65 g all-purpose flour
  • 30 g Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 100 g dark chocolate chips or chunks

Topping

  • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt

    Heat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) pan with parchment.
