Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 5-1/4 cups whole milk
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1-1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste or extract
Instructions
- 1 Grease the sides and bottom of a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker well with softened butter. Add the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg, and whisk them until they're well combined. Add the rice and stir to coat it.
- 2 Cook the mixture on high until the rice is tender, 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours, stirring halfway.
- 3 Stir in the vanilla bean paste before serving the rice pudding.
