Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 3 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh gingerroot
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 12 wonton wrappers (circles)
- Optional: Chili crisp sauce, sliced green onions, sesame seeds, soy sauce
Instructions
- 1 In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onion, minced fresh ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, mirin and toasted sesame oil. Mix well until combined. Editor's Tip: Dividing the ground pork mixture into three portions will help you with layering in the next steps.
- 2 Spread a third of the ground pork mixture into an even layer in the bottom of a 3-cup baking dish. Cut three wonton wrappers in half and place them around the edge of the dish, with the cut side in. Then, place one whole wonton wrapper in the center, creating the first layer. Repeat with the remaining portions of the ground pork mixture and wonton wrappers.
- 3 In a large saucepan, place a steamer basket over 1 inch of water. Place the wonton lasagna in the basket. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to maintain a simmer. Steam, covered, until a thermomter inserted into the center of the dish registers 160°F, 30 to 35 minutes.
- 4 Uncover and remove from the heat. Garnish with soy sauce, sliced green onions, sesame seeds and chili crisp, as desired.
